What does hemorrhoid cream do?

Many people suffer from hemorrhoids , which can be both internal and external and it is a very common problem involving varicose veins  at the base of the rectum and anus; due to a compression these veins swell and often burst and bleed .

Apart from severe cases that require surgical intervention, there are different types of creams for  both internal and external hemorrhoids and some are particularly suitable for pregnant women.

What are hemorrhoids

Contrary to what is often thought, internal and above all external hemorrhoids are a true pathology of various entities that affects two thirds of the population all over the world and in 15% of cases it becomes necessary to intervene surgically.

Hemorrhoids are cushions covered with vascular and connective tissues , contain many elastic fibers and collages and have the task of managing fecal continence and their presence around the anus is normal; they are held in place by the muscles present in the submucosa of the anus.

The haemorrhoidal disease , wrongly defined “haemorrhoids”, reveals itself in an unpleasant and even painful way with the dilation of the haemorrhoidal plexus.

Primary hemorrhoids develop in the inner lining of the rectum ; in most cases they do not give any symptoms except to be annoyingly itchy and there is also talk of internal hemorrhoids. The external ones, on the other hand, have extra-columnar pathogenesis and occur around the anus; they do not just give an annoying itchy feeling, but they burn until they become painful and in this case we are talking about secondary hemorrhoids .

The situation of haemorrhoidal plexus dilation becomes serious when the haemorrhoids prolapse from the anus causing spasm of the sphincter and edema .

It is clear that acting quickly is the best solution and in this regard, there are very effective creams  on the market to combat pathologies related to hemorrhoids .
